I make and fire sculptural ceramics, using the potter’s wheel and electric kiln in my Archway studio. Inspired by the sounds and rhythms of music and the sea, the sculptures which are thrown and altered elicit a sense of tension by being in a state of balance and flux.
I also make functional vessels which celebrate colour using ceramic stains and oxides. Work is often impressed with found objects celebrating memories of collecting shells, objects from the past and from travels.
I graduated from The University of Westminster Ceramics faculty in 2005. I have exhibited in Galleries and Craft fairs in the UK. I have been a member of CEOS since 2006.
