I am an artist and printmaker living and working in Crouch End. I trained at West Surrey College of Art and Design and Sir John Cass College. My paintings are mainly abstract and are inspired by the landscape – particularly the Northumberland coast and the Yorkshire Dales which I visit whenever I can. I love to work outdoors and my starting point for a painting is often trudging out in all weathers with a small sketchbook and drawing and painting directly from nature! I then attempt to capture the essence of those sketches on paper and canvas back in my studio. Both my painting and printmaking techniques have a textural quality and I like to experiment with different media. I have exhibited widely in the UK and abroad and my work has been bought as far afield as Australia, New Zealand as well as in Europe.
