Maggie Jennings

My paintings from nature, in mainly water-based media, are active celebrations of the energy and urgency of life, and life’s transformation.

My gaze is intense and intimate, focusing closely on the dense variety of plants, fungi, birds and insects that I find in my wild and rampant garden near Highgate where I have my studio. I also draw inspiration from being a year-round swimmer at the Hampstead Heath Ladies Pond, where I observe wildlife around the water’s edge and in the meadows. The birds and fungi also find their way into my intaglio prints.

I teach Printmaking at The Royal Drawing School, and Heatherley School of Fine Art.

My commissioned book “Fine Art Screenprinting” was published 2015
“Studio Sink Poetry” two artists collaborating on a poetry art book published 2018

I exhibit nationally and internationally
