‘Cooking has always been so important to me – I like to lose myself in the moment, and focus on the flavours and colours in this daily ritual. Making ceramics is a similar process – you’re mixing ingredients and layering slips and glazes – working at an intuitive level and visualising what the outcome will be. In either process, it takes a long time, and many repetitions to learn how the ingredients will work together.’
My current project is rooted in the domestic space. ‘Still Life’ is a theme I am following with my work in my clay and other media.
Recent work has featured in magazines such as The Financial Times, The World of Interiors and Sunday Times Home.
