Stella Yarrow

Stella Yarrow

Stella Yarrow is a fine art printmaker. Her prints reflect her passion for the natural environment. She explores the frequently troubled relationship between humans and nature. She draws on memory, imagination, poetry and song as well as direct experience of the natural world to generate the images for her prints. Stella prints by hand using a traditional etching press, making small runs of her prints, often with individual variations. Some of her prints are unique works of art. She specialises in lino cut, with its clear, strong, graphic characteristics, and lino etching, which has a looser and more free quality. She enjoys experimenting with other techniques such as wood lithography, collagraph and printing using recycled waste materials such as Tetrapak cartons. Stella is a part-time print tutor at the Art Academy London. She exhibits regularly in London and elsewhere in the UK.
