I am a fine art printmaker. My preferred approach is the traditional method of lino cut with its clear, strong, graphic qualities and the innovative technique of lino etching, which offers greater creativity of expression and looser mark making. My prints, in the last few years, have explored our relationship to wildlife and nature, reflecting my passion for the natural environment in a world dominated by human activity. However, as with many artists, Covid-19 has been the catalyst to a change in my approach. With only intermittent access during lockdown to the print studio where I make my work, I have been experimenting with other methods of making art. I have made prints and other artwork on new themes in response to lockdown, such as restriction and escape. I continue to love experimenting with colour, transparency, and texture. I am a Print Associate at the Art Academy (an independent fine art school) in London.
