Printmaking
My art stems mostly from a growing sense of displacement, agitation and powerlessness in the face of world events.
The style of my prints references that of the graphic novels I grew up with – like those by Moebius and Hergé among many others – as their visual simplicity has the ability to distil the essence of the message they seek to convey.
With enhanced yet flat colours and outlined shapes, my latest work tries to portray idealised views of the world : beautiful, human-free, sea and landscapes with a subtext of foreboding and disquietude, even death. A dystopian vision with a promise of hedonistic pleasure and escapism?

All my work has an existing image as a starting point - usually a photograph I have taken - which then undergoes a process of alienation using digital tools.
